St John’s has a long history of service within our parish and outreach to our community.

St. John’s Food Pantry: St. John’s Food Pantry is open weekly Mondays from 10am-noon and run by parish volunteers. We welcome donations of non-perishable food items and in particular the following:

    • Tinned sardines
    • Pasta sauce
    • Peanut butter
    • Tinned fruit
    • Jam
    • Tinned vegetables
    • Pasta
    • Rice

Items can be dropped off Monday to Friday from 9-1 or on Sunday mornings.

East End Refugee Committee: St John’s is a founding member of the East End Refugee Committee (EERC), a group of local churches of various denominations that participate in Canada’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program. Our parishioners have welcomed a number of families, helped them to resettle, and provided financial support. In October  2022, St John’s, along with the other five member faith communities of the East End Refugee Committee, welcomed the arrival of a new refugee family.

Community Groups: St John’s offers a home where local community groups can meet. These groups include Scouts, Guides, Beavers, Venturers and Rovers, and Alcoholics Anonymous.
